The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Senior Analyst, Cyber Risk who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

The incumbent performs two core functions for the RCM.

The first is the management of cyber risks, while the second is maintenance of the cyber incident response plan.The Senior Analyst applies their deep technical expertise in their detailed risk assessment of technology solutions implemented at the Mint.This work includes supporting the business, managing a risk register as well as a library of security controls.The Senior Analyst, Cyber Risk also maintains the cyber incident response plan and acts as the coordinator for major cyber events.Essential duties and responsibilities:Provides advanced support in the design, implementation and maintenance of the information security risk framework to support business and operational objectives; Performs Security Threat and Risk Assessments and supports the business in cyber security risk decision making process; Manages and maintains a cyber risk registry; Manages security requirements for new initiatives and a library of security controls; Supports security compliance and remediation initiatives for technology, processes and services (a) to ensure ongoing effectiveness of the information security program, (b) to protect the business from unknown exposures and (c) to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements; Provides recommendations for additional growth and expansion of the cyber risk environment and scope; Manages the Mint’s cyber incident response plan and acts as the Incident Coordinator for major cyber events, including after hours; Maintains up-to-date in-depth knowledge of the cyber security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors; Collaborates with members of the Security Operation Centre; Interacts and supports all IT teams and the business.Requirements: University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Business or similar discipline.Minimum of 8 years in the IT industry with 4 years’ direct risk experience including conducting formal Threat and Risk Assessment.Security Certifications (CISSP, CISA or CRISC).In-depth experience with threat and risk assessments both large and small.Detailed understanding of risk management.In-depth experience in threat management, investigations and remediation.Strong technical background in IT technologies.General knowledge privacy and government policy.Preferred Bilingual (English and French) to be determined as per the Official Languages Act.Must be eligible to obtain Secret Clearance.The health and safety of our employees is a top priority.
